Year-round complimentary trainings for RSCs kicks off in Region V

A result of the partnership between the PSRTI and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on capacity-building for the RSCs, the very first complimentary training course on Data Visualization Using Infographics kicked off in Region V on February 7-9, 2023. The event, held in PSA V Conference Room in Legazpi City, saw the participation of 34 attendees representing member-agencies of RSC V.

The PSRTI training team was led by Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, Ph.D., with Training Division Chief Statistical Specialist Ms. Maria Praxedes Peña. Serving as Resource Persons were Training Division staff Mr. Brad Zuñiga and Ms. Jazel Ramos. Ms. Junelle Barcena of the Knowledge Management Division assisted in the marketing activities that include courtesy visits to government agencies and dissemination of promotional items on PSRTI.
The group was warmly welcomed by the PSA V under the leadership of Regional Director Cynthia L. Perdiz and Chief Statistical Specialist of the PSA V Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD) Mr. Danilo Luceña.
Giving the Welcome Remarks is Engr. Luis G. Banua, Regional Director of the National Economic and Development Authority Region V and RSC V Chairperson, on February 7 while Mr. Luceña gave his Closing Remarks on February 9, 2023, on behalf of PSA RD Perdiz.
Participants expressed thanks to the PSRTI for the complimentary training course, emphasizing the great benefit provided by their learnings in the creation of infographics and in the dissemination of statistics.
