Training of Trainers on uses and applications of CBMS data held for PSRTI personnel

PSRTI personnel attended the Training of Trainers on the Uses and Applications of CBMS Data: Poverty Indicators and Thematic Mapping at the PSRTI Training Room 1 from February 14-17, 2023. The Resource Person for the course is Mr. Ron Lester S. Durante, a freelance Geospatial Analysis and Machine Learning Expert.

Over the intensive four-day training course, 17 participants from the Research and Training Divisions learned essential skills for the analysis of CBMS data, including important concepts in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data models and the coordinate reference system, working with raster data, and creating thematic maps using poverty indicators.
PSRTI personnel systematically undergo Training of Trainers to stay updated with the current trends and new technologies in statistics, which are then applied in the delivery of agency services such as research and capacity building.
