The PSRTI conducted a four-day Training of Trainers on Interactive Dashboards: Transforming Data into Dynamic Insights Using MS Power BI from November 18-21, 2024 at the PSRTI Ceferino S. Sinsioco Training Room on the 15th Floor of The Upper Class Tower, Quezon City, with 12 participants from the PSRTI Training Division attending.
The training, with Resource Person Mr. Primitivo Warren B. Garcera, aimed to strengthen the PSRTI’s pool of Resource Persons by equipping them with advanced skills in creating dynamic and interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. The sessions covered a comprehensive range of topics, from data organization and modeling to leveraging DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations and producing visually compelling reports and dashboards.
Ms. Maria Praxedes R. Peña, Chief Statistical Specialist of the Training Division, delivered the opening message, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and staying updated with technological advancements in data analytics in pursuit of the PSRTI’s mandates.
The participants engaged in hands-on exercises that included importing and transforming data, building relationships between tables, and creating visualizations such as column charts, slicers, and KPI cards. They also explored advanced features like report design, interaction editing, and publishing reports to the Power BI Service for collaborative sharing.
The training concluded with a message from Mr. Christopher E. Mojica, Senior Statistical Specialist, who highlighted the critical role of Training of Trainers initiatives in ensuring the PSRTI’s capacity to deliver relevant and impactful training programs. He lauded the participants for their active engagement and commitment to enhancing their expertise.
