TRAINING AGENDA
The PSRTI has the mandate of developing comprehensive and integrated research and training program on statistical theories, concepts and methodologies. Consistently, the Training Division commits to its agenda of conducting non-degree training programs that seek to upgrade the quality of the statistical workforce in support of the needs of the statistical system.
TRAIN WITH US
The PSRTI consciously maintain a high standard in the conduct of training courses. Only the best-qualified resource persons and recognized experts in the different fields of statistics are invited to handle each training course. PSRTI provides ample opportunity for hands-on practice and instruction through interactive discussions, lectures, and workshops. Our programs are designed to be enriching and engaging, ensuring that no training participant is left behind, whether online or in a face-to-face setting.
Training certificates are awarded to participants upon the completion of the minimum number of hours attended and upon fulfillment of course requirements.
REGULAR TRAINING COURSES
Regular Training Courses (RTCs) cover topics on the foundation of statistics, data collection, management, processing, and analysis, statistical report writing and presentation, up to advance topics on statistical modeling, policy analysis, and impact evaluations.
These training courses are conducted for 4-5 days and are open to all interested individuals, including employees from the public and private sectors. RTCs are offered every semester and are released on our website and social media accounts within the first quarter of the calendar year.
CUSTOMIZED TRAINING COURSES
Customized Training Courses (CTCs) are exclusively being provided to the participants identified by the proponent government agency. The client-agency data is incorporated into the PSRTI training modules and may utilize existing PSRTI or newly developed modules based on the statistical needs of the requesting party.
The duration of a customized training course may range from 4 days to a series of 4-6 day training modules, based on the requirements of the proponent agency.
To request a CTC, interested parties may send a Letter of Request to the PSRTI Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, Ph.D. (josefina.almeda@psrti.gov.ph), copy furnished the Chief Statistical Specialist of the Training Division Ms. Maria Praxedes R.
