PSRTI nears completion of its Regular Training Course Offerings for 2021 as it completes the training course on Video Conferencing: Basics and Essentials Using Zoom®

The Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) completed its second to the last regular training course for the year with the training course on Video Conferencing: Basics and Essentials Using Zoom® on October 27, 2021. The training had 15 participants from various government agencies such as the Philippine Statistics Authority, Commission on Human Rights, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Department of Energy, Climate Change Commission and from its own PSRTI staff.

The resource speaker for this training is Ms. Junelle B. Barcena, Information Officer III of the Knowledge and Management Division of PSRTI. This one-day training discussed the basics such as setting up the Zoom program and discussing the different meeting roles and responsibilities. It also tackled the essentials of Zoom like the protocols prior and during a meeting, and the various Zoom meeting controls.

Overall, the participants appreciated the training. Many praised the resource speaker and the PSRTI training team for the laudable preparation and smooth conduct of the course. One participant specifically remarked that “the training as a whole, was well organized. From start to finish, the time was maximized and all instructions were very clear.” Another participant commended PSRTI by saying, “Glad that in [these] hard time[s], PSRTI never stops imparting their knowledge [through Zoom].”
