The Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) successfully conducted a virtual regular training on Technical Report Writing on Statistical Report on October 5-8, 2020 through Zoom®, with Professors Jerome T. Buenviaje, PhD and Martin Augustine B. Borlongan serving as resource persons.

A total of 34 participants coming from the Department of Health , Central Luzon Center for Health and Development, Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office V, Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IV-A, National Book Development Board, National Economic and Development Authority Region I, Philippine Army, Presidential Communications Operations Office, Philippine Statistics Authority and PSRTI.

The four-day training was composed of lectures on structure, types and steps in writing a technical report, use of APA citation guidelines, methods of presenting data and use of summary measures in writing a statistical report. The culmination of the training is a presentation of the short technical report produced during the writing workshops after each lecture.

Dr. Buenviaje is the current dean from University of the Philippines Diliman College of Education while Prof. Borlongan from School of Statistics in the same university.
