Convening at the OED Conference Room, Executive Director Almeda, Chief Statistical Specialist of Training Division, Ms. Pinky Peña, and Research Division Officer-in-charge Ms. Sabrina Romasoc met with the CPD team. They discussed the ongoing Fertility Decline Study, a research project currently being undertaken by CPD and PSRTI. Additionally, the meeting addressed CPD’s requirements for enhancing statistical capabilities. Three existing Regular Training Courses (RTCs) were identified as beneficial, along with the proposal to develop Customized Training modules for CPD administrative staff and local government unit population officers, down to the barangay level. This collaborative effort aims to strengthen the statistical capacity of and empower officials with reliable data for informed decision-making.

The visit started with a quick tour of the 16th-floor premises of the PSRTI, which houses the Office of the Executive Director, Research Division, and Finance and Administrative Division.
