PhilSA attends CTC on MS Excel for Database Management

Forty (40) participants from the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) attended the Customized Training Course (CTC) on Microsoft Excel for Database Management, conducted face-to-face at the PSRTI office in Quezon City on July 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2023.

The training course is aimed at participants who wish to maximize and more efficiently use the spreadsheet application MS Excel, especially in data analysis, organization, and presentation, which are common day-to-day office tasks. Participants learned over the 4-day course, under Resource Person Mr. Warren Garcera, an overview of the software, its functionalities, and add-ins that are useful in enhancing their capabilities as public servants.
The Closing Ceremonies were held on the last day and saw positive impressions from selected participants who shared their feedback. On Mr. Garcera, one participant noted that “his teaching is very concise and easy to understand. He puts his time and energy in answering questions and ensures that participants get value from the training sessions.” The step-by-step approach in sharing techniques and shortcuts in MS Excel was also commended as it aided participants in better understanding the topics.
As a CTC, this course was made possible through a Memorandum of Agreement with PhilSA, which is one of the services of the PSRTI. MS Excel for Database Management is also being offered as a Regular Training Course (RTC) with both online and face-to-face modalities, offered annually. It is one of the bestselling and most in-demand training courses offered by the PSRTI.
