The PSRTI successfully conducted the Sustainable Development Goals Seminar 5 on Mastering Data Management: A Guide to Google Sheets and MS Excel through Zoom on October 22, 29, and 30, 2024. The webinar gathered 157 participants from various National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs), including Provincial Government Offices in Region I, with Resource Persons being Mr. Eduard Gatus and Ms. Carmela Arabis of the PSRTI Training Division.

The three-day seminar aimed to enhance participants’ skills in data processing and management using two essential tools, Google Sheets and MS Excel. Designed to address both foundational and advanced concepts, the training ensured that participants, beginners or experienced users alike, could better handle, analyze, and manage data to support efficient decision-making in their organizations.
Training Division Chief Statistical Specialist Ms. Maria Praxedes R. Peña delivered the opening and closing remarks, providing a brief overview of the PSRTI’s mandate and concluding the seminar with words of encouragement and gratitude.
Participants praised the training for its well-organized structure, balancing lectures, hands-on exercises, and interactive discussions. The agenda was carefully crafted to ensure a smooth flow of topics, allowing participants to follow concepts effectively while applying their learnings in real-time.
Despite challenges such as Typhoon Kristine, the use of Zoom as the training platform allowed participants to adapt seamlessly. The virtual setup enabled participants to attend sessions from their respective locations, saving time and resources while ensuring uninterrupted learning.

The seminar marked another milestone in PSRTI’s efforts to equip government personnel with critical data management skills. By blending expert guidance, relevant content, and interactive learning, the seminar empowered participants to leverage data effectively for decision-making and program development.
