The Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) held its Ninth Governing Board Meeting through Zoom® on November 6, 2020. The agenda of the Board Meeting includes Agency Accomplishments, the Five-Year Plans and Programs, the Issues and Concerns on the 2020 Activities, and the Expansion Plans and Proposed Organizational Structure of the Institute.
The PSRTI Governing Board is chaired by Secretary Karl Kendrick T. Chua of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), with members composed of Dr. Lourdes M. Portus (Executive Director, Philippine Social Science Council), Dr. Joseph Ryan G. Lansangan (Dean, UP School of Statistics), Mr. Guillermo M. Luz (Chairman, Liveable Cities Challenge), and Dr. Chito B. Salazar (President, PHINMA Education Network) represented by Mr. Marco Delos Reyes. Ex-officio members are Dr. Rosemarie G. Edillon (Usec., National Economic and Development Authority) and Dr. Josefina V. Almeda (Executive Director III, Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute).
As per Sec. 19 of RA 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013), the PSRTI Governing Board shall meet at least every semester to discuss and formulate policies for the management and operations of the PSRTI.
