Director Almeda visits regional offices in Bicol

The Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, Ph.D., Chief Statistical Specialist of the PSRTI Training Division Ms. Maria Praxedes Peña, and Knowledge Management Division Information Officer III Ms. Junelle Barcena pay courtesy visits to the regional departments and offices of Region V, while conducting the Complimentary Training on Data Visualization Using Infographics for the region on February 7-9, 2023.

These regional offices include the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of Environment and National Resources (DENR), Department of Tourism (DoT), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The visit saw the exchange of pleasantries between PSRTI and of top officials of these agencies and discussion of PSRTI services, focusing on its latest research and training services to the government personnel of the regions and possible research and training needs engagements with them.
Director Almeda will continue with the courtesy visits to government agencies for the remaining regions as the PSRTI conduct the Complimentary Trainings to the remaining 16 Regional Statistics Committees (RSCs) in the Philippines by the end of 2023.
