PSRTI conducted the Customized Training Course on High Dimensional Data Analysis for the technical staff of the Philippine Statistics Authority on October 28-30, 2019 at the PSRTI Office in Quezon City. Prof. Stephen Jun V. Villejo served as the resource person with Mr. Jerome D. Javier as the training assistant. A total of 19 participants from various agencies attended the training course.

The customized training on High Dimensional Data Analysis capacitates the participants with basic and useful methods for analyzing high dimensional data. The training included discussions and hands-on application of the basic statistical methods for high dimensional data using R.

The impressions of the participants on the resource person, Prof. Stephen Jun V. Villejo made mention that he is “very knowledgeable on High Dimensional Data Analysis and expert to use the R software”. The participants also commended that the resource person was “effective lecturer and was able to laymanized the discussion of the topics”. They also mentioned that the training room was “conducive to learning”, and “no disturbances and the training venue air-conditions and sounds are very good”.
