The training is part of the capacity-building initiatives with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and PSRTI. Module 1, Survey Operations and Qustionnaire Design conducted on 11-15 May 2015 will be followed by two other modules, namely Module 2. Basic Statistics for Research and Module 3. Use of MS Excel and PowerPoint for Statistical Reports. All training courses will have the TESDA Complex in Taguig City as venue.

For this module, a total of 33 participants from the central and regional offices of TESDA participated. They were provided with an understanding of the principles and steps in the conduct of surveys and questionnaire design; and enhance skills in data processing of survey results. There were also hands-on application of the basic techniques in the conduct of surveys, questionnaire construction and skills to analyze survey results are being provided by the training. Workshops were held right after the lecture discussions of training topics.

Resource person is Dr. Nancy E. Añez Tandang, assisted by Jared Jorim O. Mendoza, both from UP Institute of Statistics Los Baños. Training coordinator is Ana Julia J. Macaraig of PSRTI Training Division.
