PSRTI conducts the first Regular Training Course on Regression Analysis on September 14-18, 2020 virtually using Zoom. Professors John Carlo P. Daquis of the University of the Philippines School of Statistics and Michael Dominic C. Del Mundo of the University of the Philippines Population Institute served as the resource persons for the training program. A total of 26 participants from the National Economic and Development Authority participated online in the five-day training.

The training course on Regression Analysis capacitates the participants with the ability of using R studio in running linear models and predict values using the regression models as well as run remedy or diagnostics for the models. The training also provides the participants the necessary knowledge and skills in understanding and explaining relationships among variables. The training included discussions, demonstrations and hands-on application of the different codes for the regression models using R Studio.

The impressions of the participants noted that the resource persons, Professors Daquis and Del Mundo are experts in the topic and that they exude a warm and welcoming vibe. They also said that they are helpful especially for beginners and users of the R Studio. The participants also exclaimed that they are very excited to join the next part of the training.
