The Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute kicks off its regular training courses for the year during the first week of April 2019.
On April 1-4, 2019, 29 participants took the Training Course on Microsoft Excel for Data Management at the PSRTI Office located at the 7th Floor, South Insula Condominium, Quezon City. Mr. Sim L. Estallo and Mr. Primitivo Warren B. Garcera, Freelance IT Consultants, served as resource persons for the training course.
Participants included groups from the Department of Budget and Management, Philippine Statistics Authority, Sugar Regulatory Administration, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, as well as individuals from Ranaw Disaster Response and Rehabilitation Assistance Center, Inc., and Johnson and Johnson. Participants were split into two training groups held simultaneously during the four-day training period.

The training course was considered satisfactorily conducted. Participants found the content to be very informative and useful to their tasks and function. They commended the expertise of the resource persons; Mr. Estallo and Mr. Garcera were knowledgeable and accommodating to their learning needs, and has ensured that the lesson was well underpowered by everyone. While there was mixed opinions on the food served, according to the participants, the PSRTI gave them an accommodating environment that was optimized for learning. The team ensured that the activity was well organized and that participants were able to enjoy their training.
