Complimentary data management training conducted for CAR RSC

A Complimentary Training on Mastering Data Management: A Guide to Google Sheets and MS Excel was conducted for 39 participants representing member agencies of the Cordillera Administrative Region’s (CAR) Regional Statistics Committee at the DPWH Regional Office CAR in Baguio City on June 4-6, 2024. The Resource Persons were Ms. Haidee Fay Ignacio and Mr. Ken Zedric Ganan from the PSRTI Training Division.












PSRTI Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, PhD welcomed participants during the Opening Ceremonies during the first day of the course, where Ms. Marissa Cabato, Chief Economic Development Specialist from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office in CAR, also gave a message.
The three-day course aims to enhance participants’ proficiency in data management using Google Sheets and MS Excel, with exposure to different kinds of data, discussions and workshops using actual local government data, and proper guidance on the use of appropriate summary measures, tables, and charts for varying data types.
The course’s Closing Ceremonies, held on the last day, featured the closing remarks of Ms. Villafe Alibuyog, Regional Director of the Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Offices (PSA RSSO) CAR.
This program is one of a series if complimentary training sessions for all RSCs across the Philippines and is a collaboration between the PSRTI, PSA, and NEDA. A similar endeavor was successfully completed in 2023, conducting Complimentary Courses on Data Visualization Using Infographics for all RSCs.
