Final batch of module 4 CTC attended by 25 pax

25 personnel from Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) field offices across the country participated in the final conduct of the Customized Training Course (CTC) on PSA Module 4: Introduction to Time Series and Forecasting on June 17-21, 2024 at the PSA Headquarters in Quezon City. Asst. Prof. James Roldan Reyes from the University of the Philippines Los Baños Institute of Statistics (UPLB INSTAT) served as the Resource Person.
The course aims to train participants on time series data analysis including its basic concepts, how to effectively describe and decompose time series data, how to perform forecasting methods including exponential smoothing. The use of EViews, a popular statistical analysis software, for time series data analysis is also discussed in the course.
Ms. Jesusa Sarabia of the PSRTI Training Division delivered the opening and closing remarks during the course’s formal ceremonies, representing PSRTI Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, PhD. Ms. Mary France Tuble, Supervising Administrative Officer of the Human Resources Division – Finance and Administrative Services of the PSA also delivered a message during the Opening Ceremonies.
