Time series and forecasting CTC conducted for 25 pax

A Customized Training Course (CTC) on “Introduction to Time Series and Forecasting” was conducted for 25 participants from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Central Office at the Gervacio G. Selda Room, PSRTI, from May 27-31, 2024. The Resource Persons for this course were Ms. Maria Josefa Rosario Abanilla and Mr. Joyce Raymond Punzalan.
This course aims to equip participants with the skills to analyze time series data and make accurate statistical forecasts. It covers fundamental principles and steps in time series analysis, including data description, the use of EViews® software for analysis, data decomposition, and basic forecasting methods. A particular focus is placed on exponential smoothing techniques.
During the Closing Ceremonies on the final day, PSRTI Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, PhD, delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude to the training team and participants for their collaborative efforts in ensuring the program’s success. She also encouraged attendees to apply and share their newfound knowledge in their respective workplaces.
