CALABARZON gov’t personnel attend SDG 5

More than 120 participants from various Local Government Units (LGUs) and National Government Agencies (NGAs) from Region IV-A attended the 4th batch of the virtual conduct of the Sustainable Development Goals Seminar 5 on Mastering Data Management: A Guide to Google Sheets and MS Excel on May 28-30, 2024. The Resource Persons were Mr. Zedric Ganan and Mr. Ares Parales of the PSRTI Training Division.










Ms. Pinky Peña, Training Division Chief Statistical Specialist, welcomed participants on the first day of the course during the Opening Ceremonies, encouraging them to learn all they can from the complimentary training, which featured topics that focused on equipping participants with valuable data management and data visualization skills using popular and accessible spreadsheet tools MS Excel and Google Sheets.
Select participants shared their feedback on the course during the Closing Ceremonies, sharing their praise on the organization of the program. The training team’s strict time management, clear and concise explanations for difficult topics, and consistently lively disposition was lauded. PSRTI Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, PhD provided the closing remarks during the Closing Ceremonies, thanking the training team and participants for their collective effort in ensuring the program’s success.
The SDG 5 seminar is part of a continuing series initiated by PSRTI in partnership with DILG, which commenced with SDG 1 in 2018. These seminars are hallmark activities of PSRTI, offered free of charge to invited participants from regional NGAs and LGUs, underscoring the commitment to enhancing local governance through improved data management practices.
