This initiative marks the third installment in a series of complimentary courses designed for RSCs, which aims to equip participants with essential skills for assessing and managing data related to Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) as well as other locally-generated data. Participants were trained to present and analyze their processed data effectively and use these insights to inform local planning and policy-making. Key topics covered in the training included basic data management, the use of Google Sheets and MS Excel, and data analysis using descriptive statistics. This comprehensive approach ensures that participants can handle data proficiently and make data-driven decisions for their respective regions.

This training series, now in its second year, is a collaborative effort between the Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI), the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), and the PSA. Last year’s focus was on Data Visualization Using Infographics, which was successfully conducted for all RSCs. The ongoing complimentary training courses reflect a continued commitment to enhancing the capacity of regional statistical committees across the Philippines, enabling them to better serve their communities through improved data management and analysis skills.
