PSA attends CTC on Data Management, Data Visualization, and Technical Report Writing

A Customized Training Course (CTC) was conducted from March 18-22, 2024 for fifty (50) participants from the Philippine Statistica Authority (PSA), focusing on Data Management, Data Visualization, and Technical Report Writing Using PSA Data.

The participants from the PSA, divided into two sections, benefited from the expertise of Mr. Martin Borlongan from the University of the Philippine Diliman School of Statistics, and Mr. James Roldan Reyes, from the University of the Philippines Los Baños Institute of Statistics, both of whom are esteemed instructors from their respective institutions. The course, which integrated three of PSRTI’s Regular Training Courses (RTCs), provided a comprehensive understanding of MS Excel functionalities, data visualization and data storytelling techniques, principles in creating infographics, and writing descriptive statistics into technical reports. The target participants were professionals who work with data, empowering them with data analysis and report preparation skills.

During the Closing Ceremonies, participants lauded the professionalism of the training team and commended the clear and insightful explanations provided by the Resource Persons. Despite the condensed nature of the course, participants expressed confidence in their newfound skills and appreciation for the engaging discussions.

Josefina V. Almeda, PhD, Executive Director III of PSRTI, delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all involved parties for their active engagement and ensuring the success of the training. She also expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations with both the Resource Persons and PSA.
