Five-module CTC series conducted for PCC

The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) staff participated in a Customized Training Course (CTC) series, spanning five modules from November 5, 2023, to March 15, 2024. This series aimed to enhance the statistical analysis capabilities of the PCC as part of a Memorandum of Agreement with the PSRTI.
The modules included:
- Data Collection and Sampling, with Resource Person Ms. Czarinne Antonio
- Data Analysis and Data Visualization, with Resource Persons Ms. Antonio and Mr. George Manapat
- Advanced Regression Analysis, with Resource Person Prof. John Carlo Daquis
- Advanced Time Series Analysis, with Resource Person Prof. Genelyn Ma. Sarte
- Business and Consumer Analytics, with Resource Person Prof. Francisco Delos Reyes, with Mr. Manapat assisting
Participant feedback was positive, with commendations for the structured and organized delivery of all modules. Participants particularly valued the ability of the Resource Persons to explain complex concepts in accessible terms, regardless of technical expertise. The comprehensive course outlines were also lauded for their relevance to daily tasks, indicating a tangible impact on the participants’ work. Furthermore, the professionalism and responsiveness of the PSRTI training team were highlighted, contributing to a conducive learning environment throughout the series.
The CTC series concluded with a Closing Ceremony held on the final day of the fifth module, where Josefina V. Almeda, PhD, Executive Director III of PSRTI, delivered the closing remarks. Dr. Almeda expressed gratitude to the PCC for their collaboration and encouraged participants to disseminate their newfound knowledge among their peers.
