1st leg of SDG 4 conducted for Region II, CAR

The continuing seminars on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) kicked off with SDG Seminar 4: Data Visualization Using Infographics for Sub-National Agencies. The complimentary training, conducted virtually via Zoom on March 7-9, 2023, started with Region II and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

More than 150 Local Government personnel were in attendance, with PSRTI Training Division personnel Mr. Christopher Mojica and Ms. Jomel Jhele Sadsad serving as Resource Persons. Discussed in the webinar are the do’s and dont’s in creating infographics using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. These tools are readily available in most offices, in keeping with the goal of SDG Seminar 4 to strengthen the information dissemination of Local Government Units.
Ms. Araceli A. San Jose, CESO IV, the Regional Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) of CAR, and Mr. Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr., CESO III, Regional Director of DILG Region II, gave the Closing Remarks at the end of the training on March 9. They thanked the PSRTI for the “informative and well-implemented” webinar and appreciated the willingness of the team to repeat instructions and clarify queries to ensure maximum retention and understanding for participants.
The free SDG seminars started in 2018 and have been one of the hallmark activities of the agency since. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Seminars 2 and onward were conducted virtually using Zoom.
