7th complimentary training on Data Viz for RSCs conducted in Region VIII

PSRTI conducts the 7th leg of the Complimentary Training on Data Visualization Using Infographics for the Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) of Region VIII at The Madison Park Hotel, Tacloban City from July 11-13, 2023, in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region VIII. Twenty-nine (29) participants from the member agencies are in attendance.

The free 3-day training consisted of lectures and hands-on workshops on creating data visualizations using the free online application Canva. Basic but essential principles and best practices were discussed during the lectures, which the participants applied in creating their infographics. The Resource Persons are Mr. Brad Zuñiga and Ms. Fay Ignacio from the PSRTI Training Division, led by PSRTI Executive Director III Josefina V. Almeda, Ph.D.

Positive feedback from participants was shared during the Closing Ceremonies, held on the final day of the training course. Participants thanked the PSRTI and PSA Region VIII for the complimentary training which is aimed at strengthening the information dissemination of the regional agencies. National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Region VIII Regional Director Meylene Rosales, who is also the Chairman of the Region VIII RSC, delivered the Closing Remarks, where she commended active participation of all ensuring the successful conduct of the training course.

This complimentary training course is the 7th in the series, which is planned to be conducted for all RSCs in the Philippines, in continuing partnership with the PSA.
