The Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) conducted the regular training course on Data Visualization using Videographics from November 4-8, 2019 at PSRTI Training Room I. A total of (16) participants from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Commission on Audit, Philippine Statistics Authority, Local Government of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan and PSRTI attended the course.

The training provided the participants with the knowledge and skills on the use of audio and visual presentations (AVP) to present statistics quickly and clearly. Part of the requirements of the course is a creation of video infographics based on their own data demonstrating the AVP production process learned.

Mr. Sarah Bernadette M. Aracid, Assistant Professor of the UPLB Institute of Statistics and Mr. Jeo Adam S. Paz, Creative Director/Owner of Nifty Hero Multimedia Services served as the resource speakers.

Executive Director Josefina V. Almeda, Ph.D., in her closing message was impressed on the manner by which the participants produced their respective videographics considering the amount of time in preparing their work. She also emphasized that with the knowledge and skills they have learned, the participants can now prepare their videographics from available programs like Microsoft PowerPoint or any applicable software.

Impressions from the participants include comments saying that ‘’the training venue was very conducive and appropriate to learning, spacious and had the resources. The resource speakers were knowledgeable in their respective fields and with vast
experiences.’’
